1st Discoveries Forum on Regenerative and Precision Medicine

The Discoveries Centre for Regenerative and Precision Medicine organizes the 1st Discoveries Forum on Regenerative and Precision Medicine. This free event will be held on 25th – 27th of September 2019 at Porto, Portugal.

This Forum will showcase different examples on strategies for the translation of laboratory developments to the clinic with an emphasis on Musculoskeletal, Neurodegenerative and Cardiovascular Disorders. It will join internationally recognized academics and researchers of scientific excellence, industrial participants, experts in scientific dissemination and intellectual property and representatives of regulatory agencies. The scientific program will consist of keynote lectures, oral communications selected from the submitted abstracts, and translational lectures. The program also includes a mentoring session for the finalists of the 1st Discoveries Entrepreneurship Prize, whose winners will be announced in the end of the Forum.  It will also account with an exhibition area where companies and start-ups can display their technologies. The main purpose of this area is to bring companies and universities closer, promoting synergies and partnerships between.

The 1st Discoveries Forum on Regenerative and Precision Medicine aims to establish an international reference in the field of translational medicine and to contribute to the translation acceleration of research development in the clinics at national level and in the European Research Area. The event is being organized as part of The Discoveries Centre of Excellence for Regenerative and Precision Medicine supported by the European Commission (https://thediscoveriesctr.eu/, H2020 grant agreement #739572) and the ERDF (Norte 2020, #NORTE-46-2015-16).
